BASM English Book Festival

The British School Academy in Marrakesh was delighted to host the children’s events for the first edition of the Marrakesh English Book Festival “MEBF 2022”, which was organized by the Marrakech English Book Association and co-hosted by the British Business Association (BBA) Morocco and the British Moroccan Society (BMS).

The festival was a celebration of Marrakech and Morocco as an inspiration for all genres of books published in the English language. The content of the festival was guided by a small independent Literary Advisory Committee. The festival comprised of a series of events, ranging from discussions and interviews with invited authors, children’s book events (including exhibitions, readings, illustration, and theatre workshops), and culinary demonstrations and lessons from food book authors. The core festival events were held over three days on the last weekend of November.

Amongst the guests, his Excellency Mr. Simon Martin, The British Ambassador in Morocco, and his wife were present at the British School Academy in Marrakesh.

The British Academy School in Marrakech is full entry school (early years, primary and secondary). The school offers full British curriculum and is recognised by the UK and the Moroccan governments.
